The homeowner wanted to improve the house's heat efficiency, as fuel bills were very high. Also, the exterior of the property needed improving, so the they decided to install external wall insulation.
The council had rejected some steps that a previous builder had completed on the property, so we had to step in and work to their specification.
The customer wanted to extend the rear of their property, as the kitchen was small and space was not used to its optimum inside or out.
The downstairs area of this 1950's property had uneven walls and an old and inefficient central heating system. The homeowner wanted to install underfloor heating, which is cheaper to run, more environmentally friendly and did not need any space for radiators.
Fire ravaged this house in the downstairs area and we were contracted by the insurance company to carry out repairs to the walls ceilings, electrics and of course the general decoration and utilities.
The roof was uneven and leaking and required a complete change of timbers and tiles.
The client had recently moved into a propery built in the 1950's and wanted to modernise the property. The previous stairs creaked and had a dated guide rail. Also, the space under the stairs was serviced by an extremely small door, making it difficult to enter and wasting much of the space beneath.
The customer wanted to replace an old tiled path. The tiles had worked loose and would move when stepped on, causing a tripping hazard. Weeds were also growing through the cracks in the tiles. The customer's neighbour had recently replaced their pathway and as they shared the front garden they decided to put a similar path design so that the properties continued to match. There was also a difference in height to the right of the path where a large green recycling bin was stored, making it difficult to move the bin over when it was fully laden. The neighbour's path had solar lights embedded in a stoned area to the side of their path, which the customer wanted to emulate, however the quality of the neighbour's lights were quite poor. Finally, where the lawn met the path it had grown unevenly, which did not provide a 'sharp' finish when cut.
